West Ham - Bolton
West Ham have won both their games under new manager Gianfranco Zola. The former Chelsea player will try to extend the run when they host Bolton.
West Ham news: Craig Bellamy is pushing for a starting place in the first XI, although it is likely Zola will stick to Cole and Di Michele up front. Dean Ashton is still out with an injury, as is Kieron Dyer. Zola’s concerns will mainly be the defence, conceding a goal in almost every match lately.
Bolton news: Gary Megson who spoke highly of both Zola and his predecessor Curbishley will try to win the game at Upton Park as he has lanuched a health programme at the Reebok Stadium. Matt Taylor will be back in contention despite not having played any reserve game. According to Megson, Matthew Taylor is the fittest player they have. The manager admitted Bolton have had problems winning away but will try to collect at least one point against the Londoners.
Our bet: 2-1. Kick-off 13:30
Tottenham - Hull
Tottenham are in crisis, having only gathered two!!! points in six games so far. Surely Juande Ramos is under pressure to win this match. Simultaneously Tottenham figures in takeover rumours. Hull on the other hand have surprised everyone and have lost only one game since their promotion to the Premier League. They shocked Arsenal with a 2-1 victory against a very talented Arsene Wenger side. Will they be back on earth after this afternoon clash? Two brothers will face eachother at White Hart Lane. Michael Dawson for Spurs and Andy Dawson for the Tigers.
Tottenham news: Corluka will partner Michael Dawson in the defence. Ledley King will be rested. Impressive signing Hutton is still out with a foot injury. Russian new fan favourite Pavlyuchenko is available again after being cup-tied against Wisla in the Uefa Cup.
Hull news: Marlon King is 50-50 (back problems) while former Tottenham talent Dean Marney will be back in the first eleven. Anthony Gardner will hope play some part in the game after fighting his way back from an injury. Nick Barmby will hope for a place at the bench. Arsenal match hero Daniel Cousin should be starting the game.
Our bet: 2-0
Chelsea - Aston Villa
Only one point separates these teams in the table and last season ended with a thrilling 4-4 match.
It will be a very interesting match and Chelsea are favourites, having not lost at Stamford bridge in 85 Premier League matches. Martin O’Neill is a tactician and a genius when it comes playing Chelsea.
Blues news: Chelsea have many injury worries including Drogba (out), Deco (out), Terry (doubt), Alex (doubt). The good news are: Ashely Cole is back after missing the Champions League in the week.
Villa news: Villa rested six players in the Uefa Cup and should have hungry and fit players against Chelsea at the Bridge. Reo-Coker, summer-want-away Barry and Agbonlahor will all feature in the starting line-up.
Our bet: 2-1
Portsmouth - Stoke
Portsmouth news: have won four of their five last matches and will be boosted with a Sean Davis return to the first eleven. Many hold Portsmouth as favourites in this match but watch out as they have many injuries including Diop and Utaka. Diarra is suspended after a red card against Spurs.
Stoke news: Delay is a doubt for the match but should be able to figure at least for a small part.
Our bet: 1-0
Manchester City - Liverpool
City have scored more goals (16) than any other Premier League team this term. “They’re big, strong and powerful, with good players in key areas of the field so it will be a big test for us” - Hughes.
We know that he has ability and can beat players - he is a threat. (Benitez regarding Robinho).
City news: Richard Dunne is fighting to be back after a hamstring injury. Late test.
Reds news: Babel should be able to compete for a place in the starting XI.
Our bet: 1-2
Everton - Newcastle
Two teams in trouble will face eachother at Goodison Park.
Everton news: Pienaar is back from an injury. Cahill is suspended after a foul on Liverpool’s Alonso.
Newcastle news: Joe Kinnear (interim manager) has Danny Guthrie back after a 3 match suspension. Kinnear himself is also suspended and will watch the game from the stands. Jose Enrique is back after injury.
Our bet: 1-1. Kick-off 17:00
